OVERVIEW NARRATIVES MOODBOARDS c. San Francisco, CA Bisexual, Married. JOURNAL
an overview of molly patton b. Deceber 26th, 1983. Lived in Alberquerque, NM for most of her life. Is 5'9", has natural curly red hair, and blue eyes. Has dyed her hair several times, and magic makes it easier. Currently has tattoos of both her children's birthday and her wedding date on her arm.

December 10th, 1999, gave birth to Gabriel, who she had named Teddy. He was taken by her mother, passed off as her own child. Gabriel grew up in Schenectady, New York with his parents. He knew that he was adopted from the beginning. At thirteen, Gabriel lost his right eye in a car accident and in 2014, moved to Boston. Dropped out of high school, and has no interest in pursuing a secondary education at this point in time.

Moved to Boston in 2015, and worked at a diner called Cosmos. Had been chasing races after her birth of Gabriel, and was a bit lost. She and Gabriel ended up bonding. in 2017, she reconnected with her ex, Adam Curry, and in short order, they got back together and stayed together. She discovered she was Madelyne Pryor and he was Arthur Curry or as people know him, Aquaman.

 a few notes on her
Some things with her are no longer canon. Those are: her connection to a previous Jean Grey, Lainey. While her first son still exists, his name is no longer Gryffin and has a different backstory. The time without Adam also is no longer canon.

Her very first pb was Emma Stone, then was changed to Emilia Clarke, then back to Emma before settling defintively on Bridget Regan.

First journal un was daemonia and current one is destroyer.

Alternative CV suggestions include DC's Circe and Demona from Gargoyles.

Has undiagnosed Post Partum Depression, which could also overlap with Post Partum Psychosis with Gabriel. Arguably that she also has long lasting PTSD, which she has never had adequate treatment for.

narratives of note NOTE: some narratives have now non-canonical events in them, but these are the ones that I believe best show off Molly/Madelyne, even if they are not longer canon. This only goes up to 2018 for the moment, due to the sheer amount of narratives and shifting feelings here and there.

Also my old coding used to be fucking terrible, sorry guys!

Five of Pentacles. Stuffed animals never appealed to her that much as a child outside of the ones she had brought her brother excitedly when her mother had announced her pregnancy.

every demon wants his pound of flesh. "who are you?" she asks, foolish and confused. she can't help it: the last thing she remembered was leaving her apartment on a sunny day, and now she was back, hair tousled, coming to herself in the middle of rummaging through her purse with no idea what had happened in between and in the mirror, something strange.

progress report. she's too young to see that his eyes linger on the teachers congregating close by or the fact that he only comes to pick her up on certain days where a teacher with a blue ribbon in her hair is omnipresent.

two of swords. mark's one unharmed eye focuses on her in a way that she hasn't seen in years. she regrets it; all this time bouncing messages to and from each other and she hadn't ever taken up his offer to come see her. and he still smiles at her, wide and lopsided.

come to jesus. "did that breakfast have mimosas?" he glides to a stop at a red light. neither of them have to go further than that remark; katherine's mom and her alcohol were always a pair. tw: domestic abuse

you're a liability. humiliation is what she feels by the time she staggers into molly's apartment. it's such a different from the surge of pride she'd felt before. the assurance that she, madelyne pryor, wasn't some clone, wasn't a clump of cells that had reached sentience, wasn't someone who had been created solely to birth a child. she had feltreal in a way she hadn't felt for so long, she had felt with utter conviction that she was better than the original, who was the apex of mutation.

supercut. the dream starts out like most of your dreams: awash in black and white, the sound turned low. like always, there's a house dark, and dank.

snowstorm. But there's no sharp, familiar pain, and the smell of ammonia begins to fill the room. "Oh, fuck," she breathes.

laughter lines. she wakes up in his bed, pressed against his chest, comfortable and warm, and she wonders whether or not she deserves this or him.

my medea. “you should be proud. you did what was best, didn’t you?”

play dead. it’s a reminder that teddy happened, and a reminder that every emotion she had, every thought that snarled around in her had merit.

convergence. she still didn't quite know who she was at the moment.

congratulations. in movies, girls vomit. they get crazy cravings, they complain about missed periods and there are gasps and tears and sympathetic friends. molly doesn't realize she's pregnant until she's four weeks in and she realizes, with a frown, that her jeans haven't been fitting her right.

after. none of it was good. none of it made her forget the smell of sterile hospital when she'd woken up all those years ago, none of it gave her the ability to sort through her fragmented, drug hazed memories. if anything, as she toed her feet out of her shoes, and made her way to the bathroom, it made it worse. the stray thoughts she picked up, what little she could understand made her upset.

sugar, we're doing down swinging. she doesn't know how long it's been since the warwolves last took a bite out of her except that whoever was going to be here next was going to hate this more than she had. the floor had gone from grimy and disgusting to having far, far more blood on there that madelyne could deal with. and it had looked like a horror movie when they’d thrown her in.

three am, 1985. it's two forty five am and that green towel is draped across the sink, and you hate the look of it.

the lovers. he grins back, and then he's sliding beside you at the bar, tall but not too tall, arm on the bartop, and he sounds like someone from the movies with his accent. he makes you roll your eyes, and laugh. you don't go to his place. he comes to yours.

hún jörð. it’s just different to assume the truth, and another to be looking at the official documents that solidify the reality of it all, to know that the woman she loved more than her mother, turned out to be more of the same.

how to be unmade. they wonder why you became the goblyn queen. they wonder why you tried to kill scott, why you tried to kill nathan, why you tried to kill jean and life itself.

goblyn force: resurrection (pt. i). it isn't like the first time, full of the desert biting at every pore or the feeling of grief. she doesn't witness her husband peeling away every layer of herself to attach to jean, and she doesn't feel despair. this time, madelyne is determined, clear headed, and most of all, armed with foreknowledge. she makes her own plans. she pores over molly's phone, sends out the letters she needs and after she's sure no one will come after her, she leaves.

goblyn force: resurrection (pt. ii). the darkness feels cool on her skin after the wretched heat of the basement. madelyne finds it the only thing to be grateful for as she's hurled farther and father along, unable to even scream.

plastic love: pt. i. “baby, no. that’s not how you apologize to gryffin,” she looks at her middle son, and with a wave of her fingers, summons the ruined sheet music to her. looking at it is strange, too: scotty’s written WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP over and over again in desperate, frantic scribbles.

plastic love: pt. ii. sometimes, she wonders if she should have said yes to coming with him under sea, to going to that kingdom beneath the waves instead of staying here at the lighthouse.

plastic love: pt. iii. arthur is never as quiet as he means to be when he crawls into bed. it’s been years and still, maddy finds that she can hear his footfalls, can feel his warmth beside her even in the deepest of sleep. call it a sixth sense, call it magic; she always, simply, knew.

Madelyne always bore a striking resemblance to the (then) presumed deceased Jean Grey. Numerous individuals mistook her for Jean reborn. To make matters more suspicious, Madelyne's mind was closed to Professor X and she was the sole survivor of a mysterious plane crash, which occurred at the exact moment the Dark Phoenix committed suicide on the Moon, or so she thought.

In reality, she was a clone of Jean created by Mister Sinister. Mr. Sinister found that a union between the X-Men, Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Jean Grey (Marvel Girl), would produce a powerful mutant. Sinister hoped he could control such a mutant and use it to defeat Apocalypse. After meeting and falling in love with Scott, they married and she birthed Nathan Summers, who later grew to become Cable. Always coming second to the memory of Jean, Scott finally left Maddie and the baby after learning that Jean was alive. Learning of her true origins, that she was Created in the cloning labs of Mr. Sinister in order to produce a powerful mutant to unite the bloodline of Jean Grey and SCott Summers, drove Maddie insane and led to her to take up the mantle of the Goblyn Queen -- and eventually lead to her death. Thanks to the power of Nate Grey, Madelyne existed as a psychic ghost, but has recently been resurrected by Arkea as a member of her Sisterhood. (more here)

CANON POINT: Madelyne Pryor is played largely from her 616 incarnation with recent elements from the Secret Wars & All New X-Men included. Anything involving the X-Man series is largely ignored. The Hellions arc is bringing her back in a post Krakoa world, and will be update as seen fit.
POWERS SORCERY She possesses considerable magical abilities, having gained a great deal of mystical knowledge while as the Goblin Queen. She may also have learned some magic from Selene. The number of magical effects that she can create has yet to be cataloged, but it is known that she can cast and counteract spells and summon extra-dimensional demons. TELEPATHY madelyne can access an array of telepathic powers due to her mutation and link to jean. includes: telepathic defense, telepathic cloak, cloak mind, psychic shield, telepathic illusions, telepathic camouflage, telepathic manipulation mind control, mind possession, mind alteration, mental amnesia, psionic blasts, mind transferal, mental detection, cloak mind, dark psyche, mind link, psionic siphoning, astral projection, astral teleportation TELEKINESIS Her telekinesis is powerful enough that Madelyne can move, lift, and manipulate fairly large objects, channel her telekinetic powers to fire powerful, mental, concussive blasts, focus her psionic energy into a near-impenetrable force field, and levitate herself in order to fly at fairly high speeds. On a few occasions, she can make images in her mind become tangible. She has the ability to bend the quantum strings that make up reality within a localized area through precise telekinesis. PHOENIX SPARK After her reconstitution as a psychic being, Pryor was apparently still connected to the Phoenix Force. It was strongly hinted in X-Man #33 that Madelyne is indeed a living spark of the Phoenix which explains why Nate was able to psionically recreate her, though she is in truth only a living mass of psionic energy. GOBLIN FORCE The ability to tap into dark sorcery allowing her to summon various goblins, demons and other entities. Has several components and boosts her already present powers. Includes: Insatiable Hunger, Energy Absorption, Concussive Force Blasts, Shadow-Morphing, immortality, cosmic manipulation, Chronokinesis Cosmic Teleportation, Matter Transmutation  NECROMANCY The ability to raise and control the dead.
OFF CANON REWARDS GHOST RIDER'S HELLCHARGER When imbued with the mystical powers of the Ghost Rider, Eli Morrow's 1969 Dodge Charger was transformed into the Hell Charger. (more here) PHOENIX FORCE AVATAR When imbued with the powerful Phoenix Force, Madelyne may greatly increase her powers by tapping into the life energies of those yet unborn. The Phoenix Force also allows its avatars to manifest additional powers, especially in terms of Jean as its "host, house, and self". (more here) THE MILLENNIUM FALCON The Millennium Falcon, original designation YT-1300 492727ZED, was a Corellian YT-1300f light freighter most famously used by the smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca during the Galactic Civil War. (more here)  THE SOULSWORD The Soulsword was created by Illyana Rasputina during the period in which she was trapped in a Limbo dimension ruled by Belasco. Illyana magically caused her own life force energy to manifest before her. Once this happened she cast her hand into the eldritch energy and drew from it the Soulsword. A simple looking blade upon its origin, it began to develop intricate designs and forms upon itself the more Illyana used it, becoming more powerful with each use. (more here)  MERA'S CROWN The crown belonging to Queen Mera, and an indication of her status as Arthur's new wife. (here)  LIFEGUARD'S SITUATIONAL HYPER-ADAPTABILITY situational hyper-adaptability enables her to assume a variety of superhuman traits to facilitate the protection of herself or other living beings, including manifesting psionic powers, shape-changing, and transforming into a heavily-resilient bio-metallic state that at times gives her superhuman strength, near invulnerability, bird-like wings for flight, and additional arms (here)

 family, friends and more.
KAREN PATTON (DECEASED) Molly's biological mother. Was trying to get that overachiever, bright kid that would propel her to greater heights. Got Molly instead, and was emotionally abusive and eventually had a hand in stealing Gabriel from Molly. After Madelyne's unveiling, was attacked by Madelyne and Molly. They stripped away her natural defenses to telepathy and got the truth about Gabriel. Was left in a vegatative state afterwards. Was killed by Molly in 2019, who astral projected into her room, disconnected her from the devices and watched her die.

Daniel Patton Childhood father of Molly. Verbally, mentally, and at times, physically abusive. A hustler, gambler, and menace by trade. Loved his sons, but not so much his daughter, and is a constant nuisance for Molly no matter where or when she goes. Has come into a windfall of wealth now that Karen has been deceased.

Ari Saylor Molly's biological father, uncle to Nora Saylor, and Jewish. Met her in 2018, and was very surprised she existed, as he gave sperm donation. While he was surprised, happily welcomed her into the family. Currently runs a dispensary, and lives up to the image of wise stoner with sometimes wild ideas. Hotboxes for births.

Gabriel Patton Molly's son, who she had a sixteen. Was separated due to mother's callous actions. Reuinted after the in game before the Snap. Raised partially by rich parents with whom he had a difficult relationship; and was homeless before he and Molly reconnected Has a mutant ability, but is currently unaware. Happy to have a new sister and dad, but is still opening up.

Lilith Saylor-Curry b. 2.14.2019. The youngest Saylor-Curry. Already is one years old, and a happy handful for her and Adam. Has already displayed powers related to the both of them.

Adam Curry Ex boyfriend who is now her husband. Marred in 2018 after reconnecting in late 2017 back in Boston. Father to Lily Curry, is a total pain in the ass, a romantic, and the one guy she can rely on the most. Also part times as Aquaman, who disappeared and is now back in their lives as king of the sea.

Nora Saylor Cousin, supergirl, and a goofball. Met in Boston, realized they were cousins and have been close since. Sometimes pulls magic tricks to help Nora get some rest/fun. Confides in her a lot, adores her, and would punch Satan himself in a face for her. (Ignore that Nora is much stronger than her.) Has a psionic bond with her, and has learned skills from her.

Jocelyn Monroe Former roommate from Seattle, WA who she reconnected with when she moved to San Francisco. Knows she worked as a cam girl and both of them have their own issues to work out. Neither of them currently know that she's Jean Grey.

Marko Markovich A friend of Redd's who's unexpectedly an angry, savage werecat during the CV Week-- Sabretooth. Has an unexpected friendship/alliance in Sabretooth and a joke-y relationship with Marko. Revealed to him the Krakoa Council, and refused to deny him his revenge on the Krakoa council. Knows he loves Lily.

 miscellaneous information

Is trying very, very hard to be more stable now that she and Madelyne have been unveiled for over a year now. Has some difficulty juggling various magical and psionic forces in a tiny little body. However, ever since she killed Sinister, she's feeling more of her more sketchy, villain-y side lately.

Was contacted by CSA agents in June of 2019. Altered their memories and perceptions and keeps them as her own moles in the organization.

Retains memories of her Boston life pre The Snappening. Tries to just move on with her life instead of dwelling too hard, or else she spirals into a panic about future Snaps.
